Here's how to quickly apply Ridgelines and Valleys:
- Select the Roofing region where you want to apply Ridgelines and/or Valleys.
- Right-click somewhere inside the selected Roofing region.
- Choose either 'Add Rack/Ridgelines...' or 'Add Valley...'
- Left-click & drag your mouse in one straight line along the ridgeline where you want the product applied. Then continue to left-click at every corner or change in direction until all the ridgelines in your currently selected region have been outlined.
- When you are done, click either option (Add 'Rack/Ridgeline' or 'Valley') in the little box located at the top of your screen.
- Click that button to apply your Ridgeline or Valley

To ensure that the ridgeline or valley you are applying takes on the shading of the area you are applying it to, only apply the ridgelines and valleys to the roofing area that is selected (the red outline in the image below indicates the selected roofing area).

To adjust Ridgelines or valleys
- Using the Selector Arrow, click on the masked area where the ridgeline or valley has been applied.
- You will now be able to select either the ridgeline or valley that you would like to adjust.
- Once the ridgeline or valley has been highlighted, move your cursor over to the ends of it until you get a set of cross-arrows. You can now re-adjust or re-position it by left-clicking the mouse and dragging it.

To quickly apply a ridgeline that has part of its view obstructed by some object, be sure to add additional left-click nodes along the straight line by left-clicking on either side of the object in question. This will allow you to select that particular piece that's overlapping the object and then delete it.
